Our Story

Saving Dogs' Lives (SDL) is a unique non-profit dog rescue organization in Solano County (EIN #99-1073319). We focus on rescuing and rehoming animals in our community and surrounding communities. Our mission is to keep animals from going to shelters, being abandoned, or being unnecessarily euthanized. We're committed to stopping cruelty and helping the unfortunate. We educate and provide options, alternatives, and choices when unexpected changes occur. SDL offers a foster-adopt program and a Courtesy Assist Program.

In the foster program, most costs are covered by the rescue, including one to two in-home training visits by a professional dog trainer. We provide open communication and assistance for a successful transition from foster to adoption and beyond. The Courtesy Assist Program helps individuals and families rehome their pets and manages the overpopulation of felines and small exotics. We're also working to become involved with the mental health community to educate folks about the therapeutic benefits of animals.
